Reading Response

"Coming Back Stronger" by Drew Brees with Chris Fabry
"Beyond The Rhine" by Donald R. Burgett

Coming Back Stronger                    Beyond The Rhine
      9/11/12 30min pgs. 195-235           9/14/12 50min pgs 1-90
      9/13/12 30min pgs. 235-255           9/15/12 40min pgs 90-140

Coming Back Stronger so far has been inspirational to me. During my reading Drew Brees made a little 5 year old kid named Daven who has gone through a major heart surgery wish come true, he brought him to a Saints football practice. He got to be in the huddles and do some drills with the players.
Once I had read that I felt happy and sad. I was really glad to see a little kid live out his dream even though he has had a major bump in his road. The extremely sad part to me was that Daven wasn't doing so well with his recovery.

  1. I think that sounds awesome, Landon. I should probably read it soon.

  2. Landon, keep working on fully developing those responses. Really, you include about three sentences of response because both of your paragraphs are short and one is almost entirely devoted to plot.

  3. I read this book two years ago when i met Drew Brees and he gave me a copy of this book. I started reading it and as I got into it it really became one of my favorite books. I think it is a great book for anybody to read. Especially people who like sports and sports novels.
