Hurricane Poem

Hurricanes by Landon Foster

Devastating creatures of gods creation
that last for days with endless rain.
Turning lightness into darkness
The rain will never stop coming down
like cats and dogs.
As it drowns the soft, sweet grass.
The king of winds roaring and howling
commanding trees to bow down to its almighty power
The giant whirl spin consuming  large areas of land.
Destroying everything in its path
leaving nothing but.
Trash.
Flooded houses and buildings.
Up rooted trees.
What more does this beast have to offer?
